Republic of Korea - Draft of Standard and Specification of Wood Products

Korea Forest Service (KFS) has issued draft of Standard and Specification of Wood Products were established in order to enhance the quality of wood products and to establish an order related to its distribution in pursuance of the Act on the Sustainable Use of Woods, Article 20 (public notification of criteria for standard dimensions and quality of wood products and inspection thereof). In the present version of the notification, the standard and specification of sawn timber has been included, and the quality standard of nonstructural glued laminated timber and glued laminated board has also been amended.

Proposed date of adoption: 31 December 2016

Proposed date of entry into force: 1 July 2017

Final date for comments: 60 days from notification
